History:
The Milton School began in 1904 as a four room schoolhouse offering kindergarten through eighth grades. In 1925 six classrooms along with a cafeteria were added, 1935 twelve classrooms were added, and finally in 1937 the gym was completed.
It served the community for 80 years until the doors were closed in 1984. The school remained vacant until 1991 when it was purchased by Gary Levi to house Intaglio Design. A warehouse was added in 1993 that covered the old courtyard and playground. When Intaglio shut down the school again sat vacant, and falling into a state of disrepair. Eventually a portion of the school was rented by Piano World as well as a few other things including a “haunted house” that left behind plenty of mess (fake blood on walls, wax, and blacklight paint).
MPI is currently working with Gary Levi to bring life back into the school, and will keep everyone posted as things develop! We have the unique opportunity to set up an office in the school, as well as investigate the school many times. Thank you Gary!!
